Inverlochy win Charolais Overall Champion at Stirling Bull Sales with Inverlochy Vincent

This was not the first time Inverlochy Vincent has marked success. The son of 18 month Caylers Napoleon earlier this year won reserve junior male at the Royal Highland Show also claiming overall and intermediate champion at Stirling today.

Inverlochy Vincent Wins Overall Champion at Stirling Bull Sales

The show featured some of the strongest classes of Charolais bulls Stirling has seen for many years. The tough task of judging was left to Colin Wight from the Carwood herd surrounded by a packed ringside.

Maerdy claimed victory today winning reserve and junior champion with the youngest bull in the catalogue, Maerdy Victory. The June 2024 bull was sired by Oakchurch Samson and dam was Maerdy Pretty. The Maerdy team will be

looking to fetch a pretty price tomorrow.

This was not the end of Maerdy’s victories today also claiming reserve intermediate champion with their bull Maerdy Voltage. They also placed first in class six which was bulls born on or between the second and seventh of April 2024 with their bull Maerdy Ventriloquist.

Senior champion went to Harestone Victorious the Barclays successfully won the first class of the day bulls born on or before 26th of October 2023 and the 6th of January 2024. The January 2024 bull was victorious against Lagavaich Vinnie, Balmyle Victory and Inverlochy Venom during the senior championship.

However Balmyle Victory from Bill Bruce secured reserve senior champion. The son of Balmyle Patrick which has previously sired bulls topping at 15,000gns and averaging 12,000gns secured senior champion today and could be one to watch at the sale tomorrow.

The reserve junior champion went to Inverden Victor from Stuart Allan, Goryhill, Glenkindie. The May 2024 bull is a Goldies Rocky son out of their own Inverden Penny. The junior came from the same class as junior champion Maerdy Victory and was successful against contenders Teiglum Vincent, Allanfauld Vantastic and Balthayock Vesper.
